I remember the first time Hope and I chatted on the phone to discuss her needs for wedding services. I recall her saying “I live in Nashville, we’re planning this wedding in St. Simons,… my parents live in Macon. I work full-time, we have all these parties and other weddings on our calendar, and I need someone to help me pull all of this together from afar.”
Let me pause here for a second. Can I just say there is no weakness in admitting that you need help when it comes to planning a wedding. In fact, I find that it shows you already value your time, your quality of experience, and yourself more than the need to control and execute all the front-end work (because there is so much!) that goes into planning a wedding.
And when talking to Hope, who was confident in her style and priorities for her wedding but willing to hire a facilitator and wedding manager to execute her wedding weekend, I remember thinking: I’m confident our team is exactly what you need. (Plus, Hope was a referral from a former bride and her parents had attended one of LLC-planned weddings before. So, I felt very confident that their style and expectations aligned with other couples we are accustomed to working with).
I’m crazy about the classic and timeless elements that Hope and David incorporated into their wedding day. A formal wedding amongst the towering white walls of St. Simon’s Presbyterian Church sanctuary was like a scene from a movie. And the most beautiful wedding party and couples portraits were taken below the moss-dripped oaks at Avenue of the Oaks. We finished the night under the tent at King & Prince Resort where their guests had a blast dancing the night away with Bay Kings Band.
You can’t help but to love Hope and David when you are around them, and we fell in love quickly with this sweet couple. We had the best time helping bring their wedding visions to life (even planning and stuffing hotel bags for their guests), partnering with some incredible vendors, and getting to be on “island time” with them for their special day.
