We know that every wedding is an opportunity to learn something new, even if you are the most seasoned, experienced vendor in your market. One has a choice in how you approach a wedding: you can approach your job like you know everything you need to know, or you can open yourself up to learning and new perspectives. For Maithri and Robert’s wedding, we came to the job like eager 5-year-olds in a colorful Kindergarten classroom ready and willing to take in everything we can in order to provide a top notch planning service for their unique Hindu-American wedding experience. Fun fact–we had the experience of just one blended wedding service under our belt. So with this one, we researched and learned the traditional elements and rituals that we needed to know in real-time in order to manage the logistics, design, and order of service as needed.
One of the things that I love about a Hindu wedding (but also contributes to the complexity of planning) is the traditional multi-day, multi-event format. Isn’t it so great that the unity of a couple is worth celebrating for several days?! Maithri and Robert’s wedding guests attending functions hosted at the bride’s parents’ home, a wonderful industrial venue in Macon, and the lovely english-style gardens at The Venue at Tryphena’s Garden in Perry. We were privileged to style, plan and execute their Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party, and Wedding Day with them.
We hosted nearly 300 guests from ALL OVER THE WORLD in Middle Georgia to give them a comfortably Southern yet quality-styled wedding experience that would compare to their most favorite wedding they’ve ever been to. With an incredible team of partnering team of vendors, I think we did just that! If you’re curious to know how the bride felt about the experience, you can read her own words here.

The weekend as a whole was just fabulous, so I’ve included a few photos from the Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party, hosted at Fall Line Station in Macon. From the towering florals by Roy Lamb to the delicious dinner from Brasserie Circa, to the beautiful wardrobes and choreographed dances that were thought-out and personalized by the guests for the bride and groom–this night was the perfect primer to an incredible wedding day!
